Amazon Import¶
The Amazon Import feature is a sub-section in the Products section.
This import function supports official Amazon URLs and attempts to recognize and import products that can be found on these pages.
Note
Amazon Import supports multiple URLs, one per line.
Supported formats¶
Public wishlist URL¶
The import supports the URLs of public Amazon wishlists. Simply add all the Amazon products you want to import into ASA2 to a public wishlist and copy its URL.
Then paste the URL in the import text field.
After hitting the Submit button, ASA2 will then try to read in all the products in the wish list. If there are more than 500, please increase the value of the “Max products” option accordingly.
The default value is set to 500. Please do not set the value unrealistically high, as it is also used to avoid endless loops if unknown problems occur when importing the products.
Search result URL¶
The Amazon import supports URLs of Amazon search result pages. Just use the search function on an Amazon website, copy the URL of the page with the search results and paste it in the import text field. With option “Skip sponsored products” (see below), sponsored search results will be skipped.
Currently, the results of the first page are imported. The possibility to import additional pages will follow in the future.
Product page URL¶
For the sake of completeness, URLs from product pages also work, even if it is of course easier to import individual products directly using the search function on the ASA2 product page.
Just copy and paste the product page URL of a product, one per line.
ASIN / Country Code¶
It is also possible to enter only one ASIN per line. Then the default country store will be used which you can select below the URL textbox or the one set on ASA2’s “Setup” page.
If you want to use different stores, you can write the country code behind the ASIN, separated by two colons, like this:
B06Y5ZW72J
B06Y5ZW72J::DE
B06Y5ZW72J::US
B06Y5ZW72J::FR
Options¶
Default country store¶
Additionally you can choose a default store that is used for products for which no store could be determined.
Skip sponsored products¶
Enable this option if you want to avoid having sponsored products imported from search results. This option only affects search results pages.
Grab ratings¶
If activated, ASA2 will try to grad the ratings of the imported products. The import process can then be noticeably delayed.
Wishlist max products¶
This option is used to avoid endless loops when analyzing Amazon wishlists. Default is 500. If your list contains more products, adjust this value upwards as realistically as possible.
